As a Procurement Officer, you will help Council staff plan, manage and complete procurement and contract activities from start to finish. You'll provide practical advice, coordinate tender and quotation processes, prepare contract documentation, and make sure records are accurate and compliant.
Working closely with staff across Council and external suppliers, you'll support procurement and tender activities, maintain contract records, and provide guidance on procurement requirements and processes. Through clear advice, strong organisation and attention to detail, you'll help deliver fair, transparent and compliant procurement outcomes for Council.
This is a part-time temporary position until March 2027 (3 days per week).
This is a Band 6 role with a salary range between $98,432 and $107,292 (Pro Rata) per annum, plus superannuation.

Experience and skills we’re looking for
- Experience in procurement or a related role is essential.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end Request for Tender (RFT), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or supplier engagement processes, from document preparation and evaluation through to contract development and administration.
- Knowledge of procurement legislation, policies and governance requirements.
- The ability to interpret procedures and apply them consistently and accurately.
- Experience preparing, reviewing and maintaining detailed documentation and records.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify risks, errors or compliance issues.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines at the same time.
- Experience using business systems and software to manage contracts, records or financial information.
