The Opportunity

We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable part time Marketing Officer to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. This would also be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Marketing Officer who is looking for part-time work or a current marketing student looking for a role that can be flexible around their uni schedule!





This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team in a 12-month fixed-term role covering a period of maternity leave. While the role is temporary, there may be ongoing opportunities within the organisation for the right candidate, subject to business needs. What a typical day might look like for you;

- Working with teams across the business to tell our stories;
- Creating, coordinating & scheduling content across LinkedIn, our social media pages, website and internal communications;
- Using your marketing experience to develop marketing strategies and campaigns to deliver for our business initiatives across various media platforms;
- Managing marketing materials and brand assets;
- Assisting with regular maintenance and updates of the website and other social media sites;
- Supporting the development of automated communications, emails and campaigns;
- Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on marketing activities and results; and
- Assisting with events,



partnerships and company announcements & laboratory Calander events.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate some or all of the following criteria:

- A solid performing university student, or someone in their final year of study working towards a qualification in Marketing;
- Proven experience working in an administrative role;
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Sound written and verbal communication skills, dealing with stakeholders professionally at all times;
- Exposure to Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Word) and the ability to pick up new systems easily;
- Great time management skills to manage competing priorities and to meet critical deadlines;
- Able to take on-board feedback;
- Productive, passionate, self-motivated and highly organised; and
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy and a commitment to high quality work.
