About the role

Your Spa Australia is seeking a passionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our team on a casual basis at our Stones Corner location in Queensland. In this role, you will provide exceptional massage therapy services to our valued clients, contributing to their relaxation, wellbeing and healing. As a Massage Therapist, you will be central to delivering the high-quality spa experience that Your Spa Australia is known for, ensuring every client leaves feeling rejuvenated and satisfied.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct qualified massage therapy sessions using a range of techniques tailored to client needs and preferences

2. Assess client health history and contraindications to ensure safe and effective treatment

3. Maintain a clean, welcoming and hygienic treatment space in accordance with health and safety standards

4. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their therapeutic goals and provide personalised recommendations

5. Document client treatments and progress in accordance with best practice protocols

6. Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality at all times

7. Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues in delivering excellent customer service

8. Keep up to date with industry developments and massage therapy techniques

9. Handle client enquiries and bookings professionally and courteously

What we're looking for

1. Current registration or qualification as a Massage Therapist recognised in Australia

2. Working knowledge of various massage techniques including remedial, relaxation, deep tissue and specialised therapies

3. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and contraindications relevant to massage therapy

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build client rapport

A genuine passion for client wellbeing and commitment to delivering outstanding service

6. Professional presentation and personal hygiene standards

7. Flexibility to work casual shifts including evenings and weekends as required

8. Previous experience in a spa or wellness environment is highly desirable

9. Knowledge of health and safety protocols specific to massage therapy practice

10. Must live in Australia (we do not sponsor)
