Mathematics Expert (AI Training) About The Role What if your years of advanced mathematical training could directly shape how AI reasons through the world's most complex problems? We're looking for Mathematics experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and refine the mathematical reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role.

You'll work asynchronously alongside leading AI research teams, applying deep expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related fields to help AI think more rigorously and accurately.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance

Design complex, nuanced problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning

Apply deep expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas

Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to evaluate and improve model outputs

Ensure mathematical rigor, clarity, and depth across all deliverables

Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Hold a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field





Deeply proficient in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics

Experienced coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or academic projects A precise, detail-oriented thinker with strong written communication skills in English

Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without supervision

Currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems

Background in academic research, teaching, or technical writing

Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation workflows
