- Full-time Temporary, Clerk Grade 7/8 ($116,981 - $129,492 per annum) opportunity up to 8 January 2027, based in Martin Place, Sydney CBD.
Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to 8 January 2027, with the potential for extension.
About the Role The Public Affairs team is seeking a full-time temporary Media Advisor, Speeches to support the development of speeches, video messages and other strategic communications for the Premier of Recent South Wales, Ministers, and other key spokespeople.
Working closely with senior communications professionals, ministerial offices and key stakeholders, you will research, draft and refine content that communicates government priorities to a range of audiences. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to high-profile announcements, events and engagements, while working in a fast-paced environment at the centre of government.
You will join the Public Affairs team within the Community and Engagement Branch, Delivery and Engagement Group, helping to deliver clear, engaging and impactful communications that support the Premier's agenda.

We're Looking For
- Speechwriting and Content Development: Demonstrated experience writing speeches, video messages, executive communications or other high-quality written content for senior leaders
- Written Communication: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex policy, stakeholder and operational information into clear, concise and engaging communications
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Experience working with senior stakeholders and incorporating feedback from multiple contributors to produce high-quality outcomes
- Media and Communications Experience: Experience in media, communications, public affairs or a related discipline, preferably within government or another complex organisation
- Delivery Under Pressure: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, respond to tight deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
