Ready to put your skills to the test in a busy, dynamic Ophthalmology practice?
We're looking for an experienced Medical Administrator to join our friendly team at Geelong Eye Centre, located at Epworth Hospital in Waurn Ponds. This is a fast-paced role where every day brings something different. We're ideally looking to fill this as two part-time positions, though we're open to one full-time position for the right candidate.
Part-time hours would be 2-3 days per week (days negotiable, rostered between approx. 8am–4:30pm or 9:30am–6pm). Full-time hours would cover the same rostered window across the week. You'll also need to be willing and available to help cover leave.
What you'll be doing:
- Front desk and phone management
- Supporting our ophthalmologists and clinical team
- Patient liaison with care and professionalism
- Coordinating and booking in surgeries
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, referrals, and results
- Correspondence with external stakeholders (referring optometrists, GPs, hospitals and specialists)
- Processing accounts and billing
- General admin tasks including scanning,
mail and banking
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a similar medical reception/administration role
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Hard-working with the ability to multitask and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in medical practice software
- Reliable, professional and a genuine team player
- A calm, friendly and approachable demeanour
