Ongoing, Full-Time position available - 76 hours per fortnight.

Up to $90,235.60 (AG1) $103,724.40 (CW5) base salary per annum.

Weekend work available on a voluntary overtime basis.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced MRI Radiographer to join the Cancer Imaging team at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. This role is primarily dedicated to MRI, with majority of clinical duties undertaken within our outpatient MRI service.

Experience in CT is highly desirable and provides opportunities to support service delivery across modalities.

Our MRI service operates two outpatient MRI scanners located at East Melbourne Imaging Centre. The service operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and is supported by CT, X-ray, Mammography and Ultrasound services at the same site.

Ongoing, full-time position available - 76 hours per fortnight. Nine-day fortnight with one rostered day off (RDO) each fortnight. Rostered start times between 7:30 am and 10:30 am (standard shift length 8.44 hours)

The majority of Peter Mac's imaging services are based at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) in Parkville and include CT, Angiography, X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and PET. Essential Requirements

Qualification in Medical Radiations Science or equivalent

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Possession of a radiation use license

Responsible professional attitude and ability to demonstrate valuable rapport with both patients and staff members

Extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in any of the specialist modalities (CT, DSA, MRI, mammography, QA programs, PACS or RIS)

Desirable Requirements An aptitude for and willingness to educate and support more junior staff and students

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities Demonstrated by / Key Performance Indicators

- Perform routine radiographic examinations and some more advanced imaging (see essential requirements) with accuracy and due patient care

Correctly produced imaging as per department protocols

Successful imaging using a relevant advanced modality

- Participate in the care, maintenance and quality assurance of the equipment in the imaging department

Quality control implementation for relevant imaging equipment

- Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings

Regular attendance at staff meetings

Input to discussion when requested or relevant

- Keep abreast of new imaging procedures, techniques and technology

Documented participation in Continuing Professional Development activities

- Observe all relevant hospital and department policies and procedures

Undertake programs and activities by People and Change and the Cancer Imaging department. Comply with Peter Mac and Cancer Imaging policies.

- Perform any other duties as directed by the Chief MIT

Perform as an effective member of the Cancer Imaging team (to be assessed at annual performance review)
