About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our busy and supportive general practice in Castlemaine, Victoria. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience while providing efficient administrative support to our clinical team.

This is a full time position (38 hours per week), although part-time hours may be considered for the right applicant. An immediate start is available.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and professional approach.

- Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings efficiently.

- Maintain accurate patient records using Best Practice software.

- Process billing, Medicare claims, and medical reports.

- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.

- Assist with a variety of general administrative and reception duties.

- Deliver outstanding customer service and support to our local community.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist (preferred).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Experience using Best Practice medical software (highly desirable).

- A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach to patient care.

- A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
