About the role

Our reception is the heart of the club — where members are welcomed and where the details that keep everything running get looked after.

Mornings have a rhythm: busy run from 5:45am as classes change over, then quieter stretches for admin from 10.30am. We need someone who's good at both.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming members, learning names, making reception somewhere people enjoy walking into
- Signing up new members properly — right membership, correct details, direct debit set up cleanly
- Following up overdue accounts with a friendly phone call
- Processing suspensions, holds, upgrades and cancellations accurately and on time
- Answering enquiries by phone, email and in person, usually same day
- Checking in on members who've drifted off
- Using the quiet periods well, so records and follow-ups don't pile up

What we're looking for

- Experience in reception, administration, accounts, customer service or hospitality

- Excellent interpersonal skills — as comfortable with a chatty regular as with someone frustrated about their billing

- Robust time management — you can chat at the desk, remember the three calls you owe,



and still finish the day clear

- Comfort with money conversations. Overdue payments are part of the job, handled warmly
- A positive eye for detail — bank details and account changes need to be right

- Reliable. Members plan their day around us

- Confident with computers. We'll teach you our system

No fitness industry experience needed.
