2 Positions - Berserker & Rockhampton

National Joblink is looking for a warm, motivated and community-minded person to join our Parent Pathways team in Rockhampton.

Parent Pathways is a free, voluntary and flexible support service for eligible parents and carers of young children. The program provides personalised mentoring, practical support and referrals to help participants identify goals, build confidence, access local services, consider training options and plan for their future.

Being a Parent Pathways Mentor will suit someone who is naturally good with people, able to build trust quickly and confident working with participants from a wide range of backgrounds. You will be empathetic, organised and proactive, with the ability to balance meaningful participant engagement with accurate administration and program requirements.

These are full-time, fixed-term position through to 31 October 2028. You will be based in either of our Rockhampton or Berserker offices. The successful applicant may also meet participants and community stakeholders at approved locations within the region.

What you will be doing:

· Supporting parents and carers to identify their personal, study and work goals

· Building trusted, respectful relationships with participants from diverse backgrounds

· Connecting participants with local services, activities, training options and community supports

· Advocating appropriately and making warm referrals to external services where needed





· Developing strong relationships with community organisations, stakeholders and referral partners

· Balancing participant appointments, outreach, administration and reporting requirements

· Working collaboratively with the Parent Pathways team to create positive outcomes for participants

· Following program guidelines, privacy requirements, policies and procedures To be successful in this role, you will bring:

· A genuine desire to support parents, carers and families in your local community

· Empathy, resilience and a nonjudgemental approach

· Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly

· Good time management, attention to detail and confidence managing competing priorities

· Sound digital literacy, including confidence using Microsoft 365 and online reporting systems

· A flexible approach and willingness to work from the Berserker office or other approved local locations as required

· A Certificate III or Diploma in Community Services, or other relevant qualification.

· Knowledge of local support services, community networks or lived experience relevant to supporting families will be highly regarded

Employment requirements:

· Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle

· Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one

· Ability to pass a Criminal History Check

· Access to digital ID, including myID, and confidence using biometric security where required
