Newcastle Anglican are seeking permanent part-time Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader (Cert IV) to join our team at Bishop Tyrell Place in Cundletown. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.

These roles offers an excellent prospect for enthusiastic and energetic individuals looking to gain further experience in a great team environment. Role & Responsibilities





- Lead and mentor a care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Residential Care Manager, ensuring appropriate allocation of skilled team members to Resident care needs and effective orientating and ‘buddying’ of new employees, supporting team members in all aspects of their work,
- Administer medication under the delegation and supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Contribute to the clinical care of consumers including maintenance of clinical records.

About you?

- Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent
- Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
- An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accurately document residents' care/progress
