The Technical Sales Engineer - Defence acts as a key interface between the company, its clients, and suppliers ensuring that all sales/technical obligations are met.
The Technical Sales Engineer - Defence must ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions whilst also adhering to Industry and clientele engineering standards.
ROLE SUMMARY
Manage contract variations, amendments, renewals, and quotations to maximise value and minimise risk.
Select suitable vendors and manage supplier/customer relationships.
Provide technical support, resolve queries, and support valve and actuator activities across Score and client organisations.
Support new supply activities including purchase approvals, documentation, QA requirements, and client specifications.
Coordinate order management, expediting, inspections, delivery schedules, and documentation requirements.
Ensure compliance with client, industry, and company standards and procedures.
Technical & Commercial
Prepare and review technical quotations and purchasing documentation.
Review technical documents including drawings, datasheets, and certifications.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and engineering teams to resolve technical and compliance issues.
Provide customer updates, reporting, and support contract data requirements.
Develop client opportunities and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
HSE & Quality
Maintain HSE compliance and complete mandatory training requirements.
Assist with investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Qualifying Entities (essential)
Accredited Bachelor of Science - Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in a technical or engineering setting ideally within the valve industry.
Experience in a previous Technical Sales or customer support role.
Ability to liaise with multi-discipline peers to coordinate work efficiently.
