Are you a hands-on Software Engineering Lead who thrives on solving complex problems, building modern applications and exploring how AI can create real business value? As the Software Engineering Lead, you'll play a key role in designing, building and delivering scalable solutions across the Microsoft technology stack. You'll work closely with stakeholders, architects and engineers to develop new features, integrate critical systems and help guide technical direction. You'll also bring a genuine interest in AI, whether through commercial experience or personal projects, with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies, build proof-of-concepts and explore practical use cases for generative AI within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of modern software solutions using C#, .NET and Azure.
- Remain hands-on, contributing directly to coding, architecture and technical delivery.
- Build and enhance integrations across enterprise systems and platforms.
- Drive the development of new features and applications that support business transformation.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
- Design and deliver AI proof-of-concepts that demonstrate business value.
- Champion engineering best practices, code quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience building scalable enterprise applications and integrations.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native development and modern engineering practices.
- Practical experience with AI prompt engineering and generative AI tools.
- Experience building AI prototypes, proof-of-concepts or automation solutions in either a commercial environment or through personal projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Financial Services experience is advantageous
