Mining Engineer We are Northern Star, an ASX50 global‑scale gold miner with operations in Western Australia and Alaska. Open‑pit mining teams at KCGM based in Kalgoorlie operate residential 5:2/4:3 shifts of 12hrs per day. You will report to the Senior Drill&Blast; Engineer, shaping daily mine plans and supporting safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities - Coordinate pit and ancillary designs to align with weekly plans.

- Support Weekly Scheduling Engineers and the Senior Mining Engineer.
- Lead planning and execution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly mine plans.
- Manage weekly reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities.

Qualifications - Minimum 3years’ experience in open‑pit hard‑rock mining.

- Proficiency in DeswikCAD and Scheduler; strong MicrosoftOffice skills.
- Experience with drill and blast design software and scheduling a drill fleet to meet blasting requirements.
- Understanding of environmental effects of operating and blasting near a community.




- Experience with mining contractors or operators and familiarity with large teams and production coordination.
- PowerBI experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
- Valid “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
