We are seeking experienced, commercially minded National Credit Controller's to take ownership of the national Accounts Receivable function.

We are not looking for people to simply manage Accounts Receivable; we are looking for people who will take ownership, challenge the status quo, drive results and leave the business in a stronger position than when they started.

You will inherit a sizeable national debtor portfolio with the opportunity to improve collections, strengthen processes, becoming trusted advisors to the senior leadership team.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Group CFO and Managing Director, you will lead the national Accounts Receivable function across 15 branches, mentoring and supporting a small Accounts Receivable team.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading the national Accounts Receivable function and debtor portfolio

- Driving collections and reducing aged debt

- Managing complex debtor relationships, credit risk and disputes

- Leading, mentoring and developing the Accounts Receivable team

- Overseeing reconciliations, cashflow and management reporting

- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and credit control nationally

This role requires confidence, resilience and commercial judgement, someone who is naturally assertive, confident and comfortable having challenging conversations.

You will bring:

- Extensive experience in Credit Control and Accounts Receivable

- Proven success managing large debtor portfolios

- Leadership or mentoring experience

- Experience managing complex collections and high-value accounts

- Strong reconciliation and cash management skills

- Excellent commercial acumen and organisational skills

- ERP systems experience
