We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Simulation, Analysis, and Engineering Design (SAED) to join our team at Cyient, Inc. The SAED SME will play a critical role in providing technical leadership, expertise, and guidance in complex engineering projects, ensuring the successful development and implementation of innovative solutions for our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical expert for SAED methodologies, tools, and best practices across various engineering domains.
- Lead and participate in the full lifecycle of SAED projects, from requirements gathering and conceptual design to analysis, simulation, and validation.
- Develop and implement advanced simulation models and analysis techniques to evaluate product performance, optimize designs, and identify potential issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to ensure seamless integration of SAED insights into the product development process.
- Conduct in-depth technical reviews of SAED deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and research in SAED, and proactively recommend their adoption where beneficial.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and training materials to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support business development activities by providing technical expertise for proposals, client presentations, and solution demonstrations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within SAED practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Simulation, Analysis, and Engineering Design (SAED).
- Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of simulation and analysis tools such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA, STAR-CCM+, FLUENT, or similar.
- Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles, including mechanics of materials, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and structural analysis.
- Proven experience in applying SAED techniques to solve complex engineering problems in relevant industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, industrial machinery, energy).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model preparation and geometric analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and post-processing is a plus.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and optimization techniques is highly desirable.
