Role Overview The NDIS Remote Early Childhood Support Worker (RECS) plays a crucial role in supporting the Remote Early Childhood Support Program. This position is focused on assisting children with disabilities or developmental delays, ensuring they receive appropriate support and health services.

Working closely with the RECS Allied Health Team, the RECS Family Support Worker will help translate healthcare information into understandable terms for families, facilitate interactions between families and health professionals, and promote health awareness within the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in increasing the participation of children in the Remote Early Childhood Support services.
- Coordinate care and maintain communication links with families and health services.
- Support the delivery of individual and group programs aimed at early childhood development.

- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement activities.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate for the NDIS Remote Early Childhood Support Worker position will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting Aboriginal communities and families. They will possess excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Proven ability to communicate with diverse Aboriginal language and family groups.
- Experience working within the local community and understanding Aboriginal culture.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Current C class WA driver’s license and Working with Children’s Check.
- First Aid or CPR Certification.
