About the Role
We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis. As part of Angel Recruitment, you'll have the prospect to work with a variety of NDIS providers, supporting participants in their homes and the community while promoting independence, dignity and person-centred care.
This role offers flexible work across Sydney with opportunities for ongoing placements.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
- Assisting participants with personal care, hygiene, grooming and dressing
- Supporting community access, appointments and social activities
- Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks
- Providing mobility support and manual handling assistance where required
- Supporting participants to achieve their goals and maintain independence
- Recording accurate progress notes and reporting relevant observations
- Building respectful and professional relationships with participants, families and care teams
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy and confidentiality
- Following individual support plans and organisational policies
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and person-centred environment
Essential Requirements
To be considered, you will have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Working With Children Check (where applicable)
- Full Australian working rights
- Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting people living with disability
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or equivalent
- Experience supporting participants with personal care, community access, SIL or complex care
- Manual Handling and Medication Administration training
- Experience working within the NDIS sector
