The Role:
As our New Employer Services Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be working in occupational rehabilitation services supporting a variety of injured workers in the WorkSafe Victoria scheme to achieve return to work outcomes. You will be based primarily out of our Caroline Springs office. You pride yourself on your ability to deliver client-centred management valuing resilient service and compassionate care.
You encompass the people skills to build and maintain meaningful relationships, and exceptional technical skills to ensure a solution-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Support injured workers with return to work in new employment through vocational counselling and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Provide holistic support as you assist in restoring an individual's highest level of functional performance to achieve a successful return to work outcome.
- Identify suitable employment options aligned to the worker’s transferable skills, goals and medical capacity.
- Complete personalised vocational plans and regular progress reports.
- Identify areas of upskilling and retraining opportunities in collaboration with the worker and the insurer.
- Actively market workers to employers to facilitate job opportunities
- Conduct case conferences with treating health professionals to discuss medical capacity and treatment plan
- Liaise with key stakeholders including insurers,
treating health professionals and employers
- Deliver timely and effective case management.
Key Requirements
- Prior experience has a New Employer Services Rehabilitation Consultant
- ASORC Registered Rehabilitation Counsellor OR employment consultant experience in DES
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and access to vehicle
- Excellent written + report writing abilities and verbal communication skills
- Strong aptitude for time management
