The Procurement Policy and Practice Adviser contributes to the development and maintenance of procurement frameworks, policies, procedures and tools aligned with Victorian Government Purchasing Board and other Whole of Victorian Government legislative requirements. The role provides accurate and timely, solutions‑focused advice on a range of procurement matters with a high level of customer service. The role conducts reviews and coordinates the approval process for procurement briefings and submissions and contributes to maintaining relationships within the procurement community (Group Procurement Representatives).
Qualifications
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge of procurement governance (policy and processes),
procurement operations (managing procurement transactions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and transparency) and purchasing and contract management processes, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to write and communicate effectively, including high level attention to detail.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or a related discipline are desirable.
- Experience in end‑to‑end procurement role is highly desirable.
