Midwifery Manager – Ambulatory Care role at Angliss House and Yarra Ranges for twelve months. The position provides expert leadership, operational oversight and strategic direction for our Ambulatory Maternity services, offering a valuable opportunity to shape access, models of care and service coordination for women and families.
This diverse and rewarding role encompasses oversight of key maternity stakeholders including Maternity Bookings across Eastern Health, Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), Specialist Maternity Services (SMS) – including the midwifery aspect of the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies program, and the Angliss colposcopy clinic. It also works in close partnership with the broader Women and Children leadership team, Acute Specialist Clinics, the Perinatal Emotional Health Service, and our Obstetric and Gynaecology colleagues.
About you
- Current midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Experience within a maternity and/or ambulatory care setting
- Strong understanding of contemporary maternity models of care including Midwifery Group Practice (MGP)
- Experience in, or an understanding of, maternity intake, booking processes and patient flow across the continuum of care
- Previous involvement with quality improvement initiatives
- A strong commitment to woman centred, culturally safe and equitable care
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment. Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
