Located in the heart of Traralgon's CBD, just two hours from Melbourne, Mantra Traralgon offers modern accommodation catering to both corporate and leisure travellers. The property also features The Butter Factory, a vibrant hospitality venue offering breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, along with a bowling alley and function facilities, making it one of the region's premier food, beverage and entertainment destinations.

You'll be responsible for leading all aspects of the hotel's operations while driving commercial performance, developing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President – Operations, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the hotel, restaurant and conference facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing inspiring leadership across all hotel departments
- Driving revenue growth through effective sales, marketing and revenue management strategies
- Maximising profitability through sound financial and cost management
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards
- Building, mentoring and developing a high-performing team
- Managing budgets, forecasting and business performance
- Ensuring compliance with brand standards, legislation and workplace health and safety requirements
- Identifying new opportunities to grow the business and strengthen the property's reputation within the local market

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a hands‑on leadership environment and enjoys developing people while delivering strong commercial outcomes.

You will be able to demonstrate:

- Previous experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader within the accommodation industry
- Strong experience across accommodation, food & beverage, conferencing and events
- Excellent understanding of revenue management and yield principles




- Proven ability to increase profitability through effective cost control and revenue growth
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams
- Exceptional communication, organisational and time management skills
- A genuine passion for guest service and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
- Experience using Property Management Systems (PMS), POS systems, channel management and accounting software
- Previous experience with Accor systems will be highly regarded
- A thorough understanding of workplace health & safety, compliance and risk management
