What this actually is The first East Coast Project Manager. You start with Queensland and ACT, then NSW and Victoria drip-fed in as you find your feet. You won't be thrown to the wolves, ten jobs and four states from week one. They build slow and deliberate, on purpose, so you grow into it properly and the team gets built around you as the region grows.

You report to the National Project Manager, with a direct line to the Director and the Queensland State Manager. Not a number. A genuine say in how the East Coast gets built.

Projects sit between $3 million and $7 million to start. Live building upgrades, plant and cooling tower changeouts, chiller plant upgrades.

And here's the honest bit most ads won't tell you: the challenge on these jobs isn't technical, it's logistical. Coordinating shutdowns. Sequencing works in occupied buildings. Managing subbies under pressure.



Keeping clients and building management onside when a hospital can't lose cooling and a data centre can't go dark. That's where the real skill lives, and it's why the right person matters so much.

What you'll own

- Mechanical project delivery end to end, tender through to handover
- Estimating, tender submissions and subcontractor pricing
- Project programmes, scheduling and procurement
- Subcontractors, suppliers and install teams, keeping every stakeholder onside so jobs keep moving
- Budgets, costs and variations
- Materials ordering, document control and reporting
- Every job secure, compliant and to standard, through to a clean handover
- Travel interstate when required

What you'll bring

- Hold, or be eligible to hold, the relevant QBCC licence or registration
- Solid project management experience in HVAC, mechanical or building services
- An established subcontractor network across Queensland (highly regarded)
- Comfortable reading drawings and specs, and running programme, budget and cost
- Exposure to estimating, tendering or subcontractor pricing, or the appetite to grow into it
- Leadership instincts, whether or not you've formally run a team yet
