Role Description This full time Occupational Therapist role is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of in-person client work and some work-from-home flexibility for administrative and planning tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting functional assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing rehabilitation interventions to support clients’ independence and participation in daily activities. The role involves working with pediatric and adult clients, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, documenting progress, and maintaining accurate clinical records.
The Occupational
Therapist will also provide education and advice to clients, caregivers, and other stakeholders, contribute to service development, and uphold best-practice standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong clinical skills in Occupational Therapy, with experience in assessment, intervention planning, and therapeutic support.
Knowledge of Medicine and Rehabilitation principles relevant to functional recovery, disability support, and long-term care.
Excellent Communication skills for working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including clear documentation and reporting.
Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including supporting children and young people with developmental, physical, or sensory needs.
Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., AHPRA).
Understanding of NDIS or community-based service delivery models is highly beneficial.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time and caseload effectively.
Commitment to person-centered care, continuous learning, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
