Lead strategic communications and engagement for Government Priority Projects – driving transformation, stakeholder alignment, and behavioural change across Transport's key initiatives.
Drive transformation through strategic communications aligned to Transport's priorities.
In this role, you'll:
Define, deliver and advise on communication and engagement strategies to support key transformation and change projects/programs across the Government Priority Projects.
Work collaboratively with business partners to ensure strong communication and engagement for transformation and change aligns with Transport's vision, values and strategic priorities.
Lead the design, development and execution of communications required to articulate the value of a project/program and influence positive behavioural change to government and business objectives.
Act as key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders on strategy, transformation, and portfolio priorities ensuring high-quality reporting, alignment, and narrative development.
Provide advice and guidance to leaders on enterprise-wide transformation including change leadership, communications, engagement, potential risks, and evaluation of strategic outcomes.
About you:
- Strategic Communications Leadership – Demonstrated experience developing and delivering strategic communication and engagement strategies for large-scale transformation programs in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Change Management Expertise – Strong knowledge of change management principles, behavioural science, and stakeholder engagement with ability to influence positive behavioural change
- Political & High-Pressure Context – Proven ability operating in politically sensitive environments, balancing agility with rigor in program delivery, governance, and risk management
- Stakeholder Influence – Highly developed communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with ability to align diverse stakeholder groups
- Team Leadership – Experience leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and alignment to organizational values
- Relevant Qualifications – Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
