THE ROLE

This is a Project-Based Purchasing Role - Bespoke Manufacturing - 10+ Projects per week. Working as part of a core team of eight, you will be accountable for maintaining specific supplier relationships and purchase categories for all custom tank projects. You are also expected to identify and escape supplier-related risks to the schedule, such as machine/plant breakdowns or maintenance shutdowns.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

- Ability to plan timelines around fixed deadlines from a master schedule. Working with supplier lead times for just-in-time delivery
- Familiar with CAD drawings and file types required for ODM ordering
- Understanding of General Fabrication & Sheetmetal processes (laser cut/cut/fold/weld)
- Knowledge/Understanding of Metal material grades & coatings
- Quality Assurance
- Demonstrate understanding of ERP system purchasing & demand planning methodology (Micronet preferred)




- Understanding of project-based job costing and working with the finance department
- Ability to assess supplier capacity, anticipate constraints, and develop alternative sourcing strategies/solutions

From time to time, you will assist in executing general ad-hoc Purchase Orders relating to stock, factory consumables, construction tools & sundry items.
