Your new role

As the Cyber Vulnerability Governance Lead , you will lead vulnerability governance activities across the AUSPAC division, ensuring cyber vulnerabilities are identified, managed, and remediated effectively. Working closely with technology and business stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in strengthening QBE's cyber resilience and fostering a proactive approach to cyber risk management.

About You

This is a highly visible role within the Cyber Security team, focused on driving governance, oversight, and continuous improvement of vulnerability management practices.



You will build strong stakeholder partnerships, champion accountability, and help ensure vulnerabilities are remediated in a timely and risk-based manner while promoting a strong culture of cyber awareness across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the development , implementation and continuous improvement of the Cyber Vulnerability Governance function across AUSPAC
- Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders to drive timely remediation of vulnerabilities and reduce cyber risk
- Provide governance oversight and assurance of vulnerability management processes and controls
- Track, measure, and report on vulnerability management performance, compliance, and risk reduction outcomes
- Promote cyber security awareness through coaching, stakeholder engagement, and education initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in governance processes, vulnerability management practices, and data loss prevention controls

Key requirements:

- Proven experience working within cyber or information security teams
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability management processes, cyber security frameworks, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive remediation outcomes across complex environments
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills




- Strong analytical and governance capabilities with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement
- Experience with Qualys and/or ServiceNow Vulnerability Response is highly regarded
