This position involves teaching a range of Year 7 - 12 English classes. Applicants must have experience successfully teaching Year 12 English, a willingness to teach International Baccalaureate Diploma classes and to supervise International Baccalaureate extended essays.
All staff are expected to undertake a mentoring role and deliver holistic education through cutting-edge pedagogies and technologies in all classes to personalise learning and enrich the delivery of face to face curriculum. Staff are also expected to:
- Develop human capabilities/dispositions
- Use explicit strategies to check for understanding
- Undertake relevant professional learning to support EALD students to succeed
- Seek student feedback and fine tune their teaching based on this feedback
- Incorporate intellectual stretch into all assessment tasks
- Deliver challenging curriculum to IGNITE students
- Participate in the co-curricular program and the extended school day.
