The Role
This role provides hands-on support across restoration and remediation projects resulting from water damage, fire damage, storm events, mould remediation, and other insured losses.
This role plays an important part in restoring properties safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The position works closely with Restoration Technicians, Supervisors, and Coordinators to complete restoration activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure excellence throughout the restoration process.
There is the opportunity to undertake further training and development in the restoration space for the right candidate, subject to performance and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with water damage restoration, drying, mould remediation, fire and smoke cleaning, odour treatment, and contents restoration activities.
- Set up, monitor, reposition, and collect drying and restoration equipment as directed.
- Assist with moisture testing, readings, and site inspections under the guidance of Restoration Technicians.
- Undertake demolition and strip-out works required to facilitate restoration activities.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitisation of affected properties and contents.
- Support restoration technicians during emergency response and large-loss events.
- Load, unload, clean, and maintain restoration equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure sites are left clean, safe, and presentable following attendance.
- Interact respectfully and empathetically with property owners, occupants and other stakeholders.
- Follow all WHS/OHS policies, procedures, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Use restoration equipment, PPE, and chemicals safely and in accordance with training and manufacturer requirements.
- Complete required job notes and documentation within company systems.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and progress in the restoration field.
Capability Requirements
- Experience in a labouring, construction, trade assistant, restoration, cleaning, maintenance, or related role is desirable.
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- White Card

- Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
