About the Role

We are seeking a high‑performing Open Top Manager to lead and grow our Victorian operations within the waste and resource recovery sector. This is a senior leadership role with full P&L; responsibility, requiring a commercially astute leader who can drive sustainable financial performance, operational excellence, and team capability.

You will have end‑to‑end accountability for safety, people, customers, and profitability across the state.

Key Responsibilities

- Full P&L; ownership for the Victorian open top business, including revenue, margin, cost control, and EBIT delivery
- Develop and execute state business plans aligned to national strategy
- Drive operational efficiency across collection, processing, and disposal activities
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi‑disciplinary leadership team
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, councils, contractors, and regulators
- Identify and execute growth opportunities, including new contracts, renewals, and service expansion




- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis to senior leadership

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience as a State Manager, Regional Manager, or Senior Operations Manager
- Demonstrated success managing a complex P&L; in a capital‑intensive, operational environment
- Background in waste management, resource recovery, recycling, logistics, utilities, or heavy industry
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into tangible results
- Experience leading large, decentralised teams in safety‑critical environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A hands‑on, accountable leadership style with a strong focus on performance and outcomes
