The Role The position will be responsible to help navigate the entire Operational Management of Lees Transport with daily/weekly/monthly reporting to the Managing Director.

The successful applicant will identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies and ensure all activities are performed safely across all operations, sectors and its employee’s.

Displaying solid leadership skills, business intelligence and a hands-on approach, the responsibilities will include:

- Providing strong leadership and management to all staff to ensure smooth functioning of the operation and compliance with all systems, policies and procedures.
- Daily scheduling and operations including management of warehouse and yard.
- Creating policies and procedures
- Monitoring staff performance and progress, developing a high performing and engaged team.
- Business development
- Manage all OHS policies and procedures




- Management of all accreditation and maintenance record keeping
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Act as the main point of contact for all operations.
- Ensure seamless onboarding and operational support for recent customers.
- Coordinate with carriers, negotiate rates, and maintain strong working relationships.

About You

- Minimum 2 years proven experience in a Logistics management position.
- MC or HC Drivers licence (highly regarded)
- Ability to mentor, lead, drive and manage a team to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Advanced customer service experience with the ability to engage and liaise at multiple levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Hands-on, can-do attitude and approach.
- Sound skills of Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of TMS and WMS systems (highly regarded).
