We're looking for a motivated Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Coffs Harbour branch.

About the Role

As the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all construction projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard. Acting as the central point of contact, you'll work closely with customers, contractors, suppliers, and our internal team to ensure every project runs smoothly and delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Coffs Harbour branch

- Coordinate and oversee multiple building projects from sale through to completion

- Liaise with builders, subcontractors, suppliers and customers

- Schedule projects and ensure timelines are met

- Order steel building kits using our internal systems

- Monitor budgets, project progress and operational KPIs

- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements

- Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer satisfaction

- Coordinate and deliver building kit components from the warehouse to project sites.

About You

You'll ideally bring

- Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Branch Manager, Project Manager or similar leadership role

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands

- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- The ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and the initiative to make decisions

- Strong attention to detail

- Sales and customer service skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and support business growth, while sales won’t be your main priority you will be expected to assist and take on sales where necessary

- High level of computer literacy
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- A good level of physical fitness, as this role includes hands-on operational duties and manual handling.

- Forklift Licence, or the willingness to obtain one.

- Construction White Card, or the willingness to obtain one.

Experience within the construction, building, steel, manufacturing or trades industry will be highly regarded, however it's not essential for the right person.
