An prospect is available for an experienced Oracle RPAS Techno-Functional Consultant to join a major retail technology environment in Melbourne. This permanent role will focus on the development, enhancement, maintenance and production support of Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server solutions supporting merchandise and item-planning operations.
The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on Oracle RPAS experience, retail-domain knowledge and the ability to work across both technical delivery and functional requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, configure, enhance and maintain Oracle RPAS applications and modules
- Support merchandise planning, item planning, forecasting and related retail processes
- Investigate and resolve production incidents and service requests
- Develop and maintain Linux/Unix scripts supporting RPAS operations
- Perform application testing, troubleshooting and performance analysis
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements
- Prepare high-level and low-level solution-design documentation
- Coordinate development, testing and implementation activities
- Support scheduled jobs, batch processes and interfaces with connected applications
- Collaborate with multiple delivery and support teams to ensure reliable application performance
Essential experience
- At least five years of relevant IT experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server
- Experience across Oracle RPAS modules, ideally including Retail Demand Forecasting
- Merchandise planning, item planning or broader retail-planning domain knowledge
- Oracle RPAS application development, maintenance and production-support experience
- Strong Linux/Unix and shell-scripting skills
- Experience with PL/SQL and associated Oracle technologies
- Understanding of job schedulers, batch processing and operational-support procedures
- Experience gathering requirements and producing technical-design documentation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across delivery teams
