- Diagnose portfolio deterioration and performance shifts, with documented action plans and tracked outcomes.

Pricing, Underwriting & Product Alignment

- Partner with Pricing and Actuarial teams to translate portfolio insights into pricing and underwriting actions (rates, relativities, rules, eligibility), reducing signal to decision cycle time.
- Support GLM insights, testing priorities, and postimplementation reviews to confirm expected performance impacts.
- Work closely with Product to align benefit design, product configuration, and distribution controls to underwriting intent, risk appetite, and TMDs.

Claims, Risk & Regulatory Alignment

- Collaborate with Claims to identify drivers of frequency, severity, leakage, and recovery performance, agreeing targeted remediation actions.
- Ensure portfolio actions remain aligned with PDS and TMD determinations, with clear rationale and documentation supporting regulatory expectations.
- Monitor industry, regulatory,

and legislative developments impacting underwriting and portfolio risk.
- Prepare and present quarterly insurer performance packs, including portfolio outlook, remediation actions, and performance narratives, maintaining strong insurer confidence and engagement.
- Manage ongoing performance discussions with external underwriters and EA Group counterparts.
- Deliver partner scorecards and plan on a page summary quarterly, reducing reactive escalations and supporting constructive partner relationships.

Stakeholder & Commercial Engagement

- Foster strong working relationships with external distribution partners, underwriters, and internal stakeholders across Pricing, Claims, Product, Commercial, Operations, Legal, and Compliance.
- Lead regular performance reporting and insight discussions with partners to optimise product distribution and performance.
- Contribute portfolio insight to recent business tenders and partner opportunities, including underwriting guardrails and performance modelling.
- Maintain portfolio playbooks covering levers, thresholds, decision rights, and escalation paths.
- Track and report portfolio KPIs, risks, and actions through relevant forums and committees.
- Identify opportunities to improve portfolio monitoring, reporting, and performance management processes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years' experience in portfolio management, underwriting, or pricing within general or specialty insurance (travel insurance highly regarded).
- Strong actuarial or analytical grounding with the ability to translate technical insights into commercial actions.
- Proven experience working in multi-partner and insurer led environments.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, or R desirable.
- Strong data storytelling capability and confidence presenting to senior leadership, insurers, and partners.
- Tertiary qualification in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or related discipline; part qualified or qualified actuary advantageous.
