A new‑start fintech SME Loans lender is entering the Australian market and looking for a Country Manager / Managing Director to lead the launch, build the team, and establish a strong presence in the SME lending space. The business will provide fast, flexible working‑capital solutions to Australian SMEs and is backed by an experienced international leadership team.

This role suits a hands‑on, commercially sharp leader who knows the Australian SME Business Loans landscape, understands broker channels, and enjoys building something from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Australian market entry, shaping product, pricing, distribution, and go‑to‑market strategy.
- Identify gaps in the market and opportunities to differentiate in a competitive landscape.
- Lean on your sector knowledge and expertise to drive business growth.
- Recruit and develop the initial team across sales, credit, operations, and collections.
- Create a practical, high‑performance culture focused on speed and service.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Australian operations and global leadership.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Senior leadership experience working for a lender within SME business loans,



ideally in a start‑up environment.
- Strong understanding of Australian broker channels, credit appetite, and lending dynamics.
- Proven ability to launch, scale, or transform a lending or fintech operation.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning P&L; and portfolio performance.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a start‑up workplace while collaborating with global teams.
