ABOUT THE ROLE
Every Smartways service contributes to a positive patient outcome. To support our growing Victorian operations, we’re seeking Owner Drivers with white 4.5 ton Pantechs (with Full Tail lift) to operate across Melbourne. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. A typical day will include:
- Collecting and delivering medical inventory on time and in full
- Building strong relationships with customers and Smartways team members
- Managing the return of loan medical equipment
- Preparing freight for transport via third-party carriers within the Smartways network
- Taking ownership of service quality and customer experience
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’re someone who takes pride in delivering a high standard of service and understands the impact your work has on patient care. You’ll bring:
- Solid knowledge of Melbourne and the wider VIC road network
- A reliable, professional work ethic and team-first mindset
- Confidence using mobile apps and basic technology
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Availability between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (with ad-hoc weekend work available)
VEHICLE & REQUIREMENTS To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Currently own a white 4.5T Pantech 6-8 Pallet Capacity with full tail lift
- All required insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo, etc.)
- An active ACN (independent contractor status)
- A clean driver’s licence and criminal record
- Full legal working rights in Australia
