New Edge Painting & Decorating is seeking experienced Painter & Decorators to join our growing team. We are looking for skilled tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship, have a strong eye for detail, and want to be part of a company focused on quality, professionalism, and long-term growth.

About the Role

We specialise in a wide range of projects, from project new builds to high end new builds & detailed re-paints, restorations, Residential or commercial with finishes that demand the highest level of precision. The ideal candidates will bring both technical expertise and a strong work ethic, taking pride in delivering quality results every time.

What You'll Be Doing

- Delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across residential and commercial projects
- Completing new home builds, repaints, renovations, restorations, and detailed finishing work
- Preparing surfaces to a high standard, including patching, sanding, filling, masking, and priming
- Applying premium finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment where required




- Completing detailed cutting-in and feature finishes with a strong focus on quality and presentation
- Operating airless spray equipment for new home projects (highly desirable)
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Working efficiently both independently and as part of a professional team
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment on every site
- Communicating professionally with supervisors, builders, clients, and other trades
- Taking ownership of your workmanship and ensuring projects are completed to New Edge Painting & Decorating’s high standards
- Supporting apprentices and less experienced team members where required

Requirements

- Minimum 4 years' experience in painting & decorating with a proven track record of high-quality work.
- Skilled in all aspects of painting: new builds, spray-outs, re-paints, and detail work
- High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Must have own tools and reliable transport
- Experience in Airless Spray Gun operation in New Homes (Very highly desired)
- White Card (essential)
- Working at Heights and High-Risk License are not essential but would be an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Must be able to interpret basic floor plans for project requirements
- Team Leader or Supervisor Experience (highly Desired)
- Skilled, punctual, and motivated to grow with the company
- Decorative finishes (desired)
- Wallpapering experience (desired)
- Police clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Trade Qualified (desired)
- Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident with valid work rights
