Page Provan is an creative, award winning small law firm, specialising in family and fertility law, located in the Brisbane CBD. We act for clients big and small. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing paralegal and general administrative support to our busy legal practice together with.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Greeting clients and visitors to the office
- Providing clerical assistance to legal professionals
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Filing, scanning and photocopying legal documents
- Updating and maintaining client databases
- Other administrative duties as required
- Drafting contracts and agreements
- Completing court forms
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred, but not essential
- This role would suit a student with one or two years remaining
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is advantageous
- Is professionally and emotionally intelligent
We use Smokeball, so it would be helpful (but not essential) that you have experience in this area.
