Role Summary:

Western Health is seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse or Midwife to join the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce team based at the Williamstown Hospital in a permanent part-time role (64hrs per fortnight).

The Cordinator role is pivotal in the supporting the management of nursing & midwifery supplementary staff and facilitation of centralised recruitment.

Being the right person for this position, you will have experience that demonstrates management skills, exposure to staff recruitment, performance development and management and workforce planning. You will have well-developed interpersonal skills, experience with networking and influencing others and a keen interest in understanding the complexity of nursing and midwifery workforce challenges now and into the future.

To be successful in this role you need:

- Registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with AHPRA
- Recent management experience
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal and communications skills including negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Experience in contemporary recruitment and selection practices
- Experience in performance management, grievance and disciplinary procedures
- Ability to use management information systems for resource management and reporting
- Computer literacy including working knowledge of rostering systems
- Health sector experience and knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and human resource procedures pertinent to Nursing and Midwifery
- Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
