We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist / Team Leader to oversee a team of 15-16 Occupational Therapists who provide support to NDIS participants, older people, paediatric and private clients.

Initially this role would be to work as a Senior Occupational Therapist with the view to move to a Team Leader role to cover for the current Team Leader who will be going on Maternity Leave towards the end of the year.

As the team is spread out across the Greater Sydney area, this role would entail travel from time to time. There is flexibility in terms of where you are based – with the requirement to attend the office in Sylvania every Monday.

As a team leader you would carry a reduced caseload with KPI’s of 10 billable hours per week.

We are looking for someone with either previous management experience or someone who is interested in stepping up into such a position.

- $115-130k salary, plus super and other benefits

About the organisation

This organisation is a large provider of services within the NDIS and Aged Care sector. They provide a range of other services in additional to Occupational Therapy and have teams of Behaviour Support Practitioners, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists etc.

Duties





- Provide mentorship, supervision and training to the team members
- Work closely with the management team and team leaders of the other disciplines
- Be responsible for efficient, evidence-based and outcome focused clinical service delivery and support to the team
- Maintain a clinical caseload, whereby delivering therapeutic services and achieving set KPI targets.
- Maintain standards of record keeping, documenting all supervision and management meetings in line with requirements
- Undertake the development of new staff through leading and participating in staff induction and onboarding, including discussing the NDIS framework and legislation, preparation for assessment, outcomes, goal identification, best strategies for achieving goals within available funding
- Undertake quality assurance tasks for team members, such as review of reports or other documents, within 48 hours of being provided these documents

What we’re looking for:

- We are looking for an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist with post qualifying experience
- Ideally someone who has managed a team before (someone who has been a team leader, clinical lead etc)or someone who has worked in a senior capacity, or mentored junior OT’s before
