Des Group is a family owned business with experience in personal transport for over 50 years. It is versatile with its individual companies distributed throughout various locations in South Australia. Not only does Des do simple A to B transfer solutions for individual sized groups, but also various tour options for corporate or backpackers are offered.

We currently have a requirement for an experienced Mechanic.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager this position will have the responsibilities for the following:

- Provide a qualified level of service in-line with company policies and procedures
- Deliver a high level of service providing a reliable maintenance program, in conjunction with repairs and breakdown support.
- Ensure smart working practices are followed to contribute to ensuring and maintaining a smooth running of the daily operations of the company/workshop




- Promote and portray a positive image for the Company
- To be helpful, polite knowledgeable and resourceful
- Provide and maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OHS policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

- Own reliable transport and tools
- Acurrent drivers licence (preferred minimum LR class)
- Well-developed personal communication skills
- Possess the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritise work commitments
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to assist with apprentice training.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Experience with State Government Vehicle Regulations
- Astrong focus on Workplace Health and Safety and can show a proven safety record

The position is initially offered on a casual basis for the probation period of three months, at which time a review will be performed with the view to offering the position on a permanent basis to the right applicant.
