Work Type: Full-time, Office-Based (with parking provided)
About the Role
Are you a qualified Carpenter ready to take your building knowledge off the tools and step into a pivotal, administrative leadership role?
Our client is a successful, agile business managing installation projects on a national scale. They are looking for an Operations Coordinator to become the central engine room of their daily workflow.
Operating from a modern office with dedicated parking right out front, this role is predominantly desk-based (around 85%). It offers the perfect environment to leverage your deep construction expertise without the physical daily toll or heavy site grind.
Our client believes in empowering people. Once you are trained in their internal systems, you will be given the autonomy to take complete ownership of this business function. They operate with flat management; they don’t micro-manage, and will trust your maturity and dedication to run a seamless operation.
Key Responsibilities
Subcontractor Management: Schedule and dispatch installation trade teams effectively across a national project pipeline.
Trade Respect & Cost Control: Build a strong rapport with the installation teams while rigorously vetting subcontractor invoices to ensure fair, accurate pricing.
Logistics & Supply:
Coordinate material deliveries and manage external hire equipment (such as scaffolding and specialist trades) to ensure smooth site operations.
The Customer Voice: Keep their residential clients (homeowners) informed and reassured. You will be the qualified who manages schedule updates and handles delay communications with empathy and clarity.
What We Are Looking For
Carpentry Background: A formal trade qualification in Carpentry is essential. You must understand structural sequences and speak the language of the site to command immediate respect from the installation teams.
True Job Ownership: A mature, self-starting attitude. You naturally look ahead, spot scheduling bottlenecks before they happen, and take personal pride in managing your desk autonomously.
Natural Communicator: A professional who can talk confidently with a contractor in the morning and a homeowner in the afternoon, adjusting your style to suit both.
Comfortable at a Desk: Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and confident using daily office tech, scheduling tools, and spreadsheets.
What We Offer –
Competitive Remuneration: $80,000 base salary + Superannuation.
Fully Maintained Company Vehicle: Complete vehicle package provided.
Premium Work Environment: Work from a new office with great amenities and hassle-free, dedicated front-door parking.
Stability & Impact: The opportunity to truly own a vital business function and see the direct results of your hard work.
