Dorrigo Community Preschool has been part of the local community for more than 50 years.

We are seeking a Cert III or Diploma-qualified Educator to join our welcoming and experienced team from Term 3. This position is initially offered as a 12-month maternity leave contract, with strong potential for ongoing opportunities within the service.

About the service
Located on the stunning Dorrigo Plateau in Northern New South Wales, Dorrigo Community Preschool is a well-established not-for-profit kindergarten with a strong reputation for high-quality early childhood education.
Approximately one hour from Coffs Harbour, the preschool provides a unique balance between meaningful professional work and a relaxed regional lifestyle.

About the role
Working alongside an experienced team, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging play-based learning experiences
- Contribute to observations, documentation and reflective practice
- Support children's learning, wellbeing and development
- Build strong relationships with children and families
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive team culture
- Participate in professional learning and quality improvement initiatives

What you will bring
- A completed Cert III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards)
- Experience working in an Australian early childhood setting
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A cooperative and reflective approach to practice
