Martin's Bakery in beautiful Ballina, NSW is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Pastry Cook/ Chef to join our busy team. Known by locals as a premier spot for the best pies, golden-flaky pastries, and fresh bread in the region, we take great pride in baking everything fresh on-site daily.

- Bake our signature golden-flaky pastries, pies, sweet pastries, slices, tarts, sausage rolls, and cakes entirely from scratch.
- Manage high-volume production schedules to keep up with our bustling lunchtime trade.
- Whip, cook, and temper fillings, creams, custards, and chocolate work , and operate commercial deck ovens safely.
- Pipe, glaze, and decorate celebration cakes and daily display treats.
- Maintain strict food hygiene, stock rotation, and workplace health and safety (WHS) standards.




- Collaborate closely with our counter staff to ensure showcase shelves remain fully stocked.

Requirements - Qualified Pastry Cook with a Certificate III in Baking / Cake & Pastry (or equivalent trade experience).

- At least 1 - 3 years of experience as a Pastry Cook, in a commercial bakery environment.
- Proven commercial pastry making experience, ideally specializing in pies and flaky pastry work.
- Reliability to handle early morning shift starts efficiently.
- Physical capability to stand for long hours and lift heavy bakery raw ingredients.
- Robust team focus and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have rights to work in Australia on a Full time basis.
- Successful candidates must be willing to work early morning shifts and work the weekends.
