ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking talented PhD students or post-doctoral researchers who have a genuine interest in becoming a patent attorney to undertake an internship with our Biotechnology team in Melbourne.
The DCC Patent Internship Program provides hands on work experience where you will have the opportunity to work alongside patent attorneys across a diverse range of subject matter expertise.
Our 2026-2027 internship program will run from November 2026 to February 2027 (excluding the Christmas and New Year period). Each internship lasts 3 weeks, with start and end dates tailored to successful candidates' availability.

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
- Undertaking or completed a PhD in a biotechnology-related area, such as molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, immunology, oncology, plant biology, etc.

- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a curious mind.
- Commitment to outstanding client service.
- Personal drive and motivation.
- Exceptional academic record.
