Join a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Subiaco, supporting important conservation initiatives across Australia. As part of a collaborative finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of payroll and accounts operations.
As the Payroll and Accounts Administrator, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll while providing day-to-day support across accounts administration. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a varied environment, has a robust eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and within required deadlines.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile payroll, bank and general ledger accounts as required.
- Prepare and process invoices, employee reimbursements and supplier payments.
- Support month-end finance activities and reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and employee data.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team and assist with continuous process improvements.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in a Payroll and/or Accounts Administration position.
- Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and superannuation requirements.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable or general finance administration.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using payroll or accounting software.
- A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach.
