This is an exciting opportunity for a senior payroll professional who enjoys combining technical payroll expertise with continuous improvement. As our subject matter expert, you'll oversee end-to-end payroll processing while playing a pivotal role in the successful transition from Chris21 to Aurion,

helping shape the future of payroll across the organisation. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll ensure our payroll function operates with the highest levels of accuracy, compliance and service while providing technical leadership to the team and partnering closely with People & Culture,

Finance and key business stakeholders.

As Payroll

Lead, you'll:

Lead the delivery of accurate end-to-end payroll across fortnightly and monthly pay cycles Act as the organisation's subject matter expert for Chris21 and payroll operations Support the migration from Chris21 to Aurion, including analysis of parallel pay runs, and implementation activities Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Awards, Fair Work legislation, taxation and superannuation requirements Review payroll reconciliations, journals and statutory reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance Prepare and lodge payroll tax, superannuation, Single Touch Payroll (STP), WorkCover and other legislative reporting Provide expert advice and act as the escalation point for complex payroll enquiries Coach and support Payroll Officers while promoting best practice across the team Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls,



reporting and employee experience Maintain payroll procedures, documentation and payroll master data to support governance and compliance About You You'll be a highly experienced payroll professional who thrives in a complex environment and enjoys solving problems, improving processes and mentoring others. You’ll also bring:

Extensive hands-on experience with Chris21 (this is essential) Knowledge and understanding of Chris21 system configurations Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll in a medium to large Australian organisation Experience supporting payroll system implementations, upgrades or migrations Robust knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements, taxation and superannuation Proven experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Awards Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, reporting and data analysis Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills * The ability to manage competing priorities while consistently delivering accurate outcomes A Certificate IV in Payroll, Human Resources or Finance is desirable, along with relevant tertiary qualifications if applicable.
