All Saints Anglican School is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our administration team to deliver accurate payroll services in a team-oriented school community.
About the Role
At All Saints Anglican School, the Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and confidential end-to-end payroll services while providing administrative support within the Finance Team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, and working closely with key stakeholders, the role ensures payroll processes, reporting and employee records are maintained in accordance with relevant legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and School policies.
The position also contributes to payroll system improvements, provides professional support and advice to staff, and upholds the School’s values through a collaborative and service-focused approach.
The Payroll Officer is a full-time permanent position with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for all staff, on a monthly basis using the TASS platform, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
- Maintain payroll records, employee changes, leave balances and payroll system data.
- Complete payroll reconciliations, reporting, year-end processes, superannuation and statutory obligations.
- Provide payroll advice and support to staff and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to payroll process improvements and system efficiencies.
- Prepare payroll reports, cost analysis and WorkCover documentation.
- Support Accounts Receivable functions and provide general administrative assistance within the Finance Team.
About you Our ideal candidate will bring;
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably within an Educational setting.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experince using payroll systems preferably TASS, high level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
- Excellent numerical ability and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with staff at all levels
Whilst not mandatory the following would be considered an advantage:
- Working knowledge of TASS.
- Familiarity with child safety, student protection, Blue Card and governance requirements.
- Relevant certificate in Payroll Administration or a related discipline.
- Membership of a payroll advisory organisation.
