Job Description
The Role
As an Interior Designer in our Melbourne team, you'll support projects from briefing and concept through design development, documentation and construction delivery. You'll work closely with senior designers, clients, consultants, business development and construction teams to create commercial environments that are thoughtful, functional and ready to be built.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Develop creative, practical design concepts that respond to client briefs, scope, budget and project outcomes.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams to deliver seamless design solutions.
- Partner with clients to understand their culture, brand and operational needs, delivering outcomes that exceed expectations.
- Prepare high-quality design documentation from concept through to construction.
- Work hand-in-hand with Marketing,
Commercial and Construction teams to support smooth end-to-end delivery.
- Incorporate global best practice, think laterally, and contribute cutting-edge ideas across projects.
- Grow your capability through mentorship and ongoing feedback from senior designers.
Desired Skills And Experience
What you Bring
This role will suit a commercially minded Interior Designer with around 3-5 years' experience who is ready to step into a broad, hands-on role. You'll be comfortable contributing across concept, documentation and delivery, and you'll bring the curiosity, flexibility and attention to detail needed to thrive in a growing team.
- A tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Architectural Design or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial interior design, ideally across workplace, fit-out or design and construct environments.
- The ability to communicate design ideas clearly, from early sketches and mood boards through to client-ready presentations.
- Strong design, documentation and visualisation skills, with confidence using Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- A solid understanding of building codes, quality standards, documentation requirements and buildability.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
