About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Migration Architect to lead the discovery, assessment, solution design and migration planning activities for a major infrastructure transformation programme.
Working within a highly regulated environment, you'll assess a VMware estate and design the migration to a Microsoft Hyper-V platform, while also shaping the transition of the End User Computing environment to Omnissa Horizon on Hyper-V. This is a strategic architecture-focused role with no hands-on migration or operational support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess VMware, VDI and infrastructure environments for migration readiness.
- Design target-state Hyper-V and SCVMM architectures.
- Develop migration strategies, tooling recommendations and wave plans.
- Design Omnissa Horizon VDI solutions, including GPU-enabled environments.
- Provide architectural leadership and stakeholder engagement across the programme.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing VMware to Hyper-V migrations.
- Robust knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, Hyper‑V and SCVMM.
- Experience with VMware/Omnissa Horizon and enterprise VDI environments.
- Background leading large‑scale infrastructure transformation programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and technical design documentation skills.
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship mandatory.
- NV1 Security Clearance (minimum) or eligibility to obtain. NV2 highly regarded.
